Raiders an integral part of the future of the Carlisle Football Club

The Carlisle Raiders is the club's colts team.

The team's name, and the colours they play in, recognise
the link between the Carlisle Football Club and the Victoria
Park Junior Football Club. This collaboration began in 2008
and provides mutual benefit. Carlisle benefits greatly from
its affiliation with a  junior club, as this is a rich source of new
players for the club. The boys graduating from the junior
system, meanwhile, have an easy and natural transition to
senior football, while being able to continue playing with
their mates.

The success of the partnership between Carlisle and Vic
Park is evident in the large proportion of senior players
who now represent the Cougars and in the support given
back to junior teams. For example, a number of Cougars
return to their junior club each year to coach future
batches of Carlisle players.

The Raiders have enjoyed tremendous success since
their formation, playing in three finals series and winning
the premiership in 2009. The team has also provided three
association fairest and best winners: Jimmy Lovegrove in
2008, Chris Lambkin in 2009 and Reyner Wells in 2011.

The Raiders are an integral part of the club's future and
are looking forward to another great year both on and off
the field.
